What does a photography studio need to run?
A wedding photography studio juggles the same few things all year: couples asking about dates, packages to explain, quotes to send, advances to collect, a calendar of shoots and a clear view of who still owes you money. Mangalyam puts these in one vendor workspace, so the studio is not spread across chats, notes and spreadsheets.
How do enquiries reach you?
Your public storefront lives at mangalyam.io/vendors/ followed by your own slug. Couples read your packages there and send an enquiry. Enquiries arrive on a leads board, with an inbox for the conversation, so each couple’s question and your reply stay together.
Every profile is reviewed by Mangalyam before it goes live. Your storefront appears once the profile is approved.
How do you present packages and prices?
Packages with prices are kept in your Catalog and shown to couples on your storefront. A photographer can keep separate packages for, say, a single-function shoot and a multi-day wedding, each with its own price. Couples see what you offer before they write to you.
If you want a fuller site of your own, Mangalyam can also host a custom business website at mangalyam.io/p/ followed by your slug. You preview it as a draft, and it is checked automatically before it is published.
How do quotes and booking advances work?
Quotes in Mangalyam carry milestone payments:
| Milestone | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Booking advance | Holds the date for the couple |
| Interim payment | A stage payment before the wedding |
| Final payment | The balance |
| Add-ons | Extras such as an album or a second shooter |
The booking advance is the first milestone in the quote. The rest of the payments follow the schedule you set.
How do you see what you are owed?
The Money page shows outstanding payment requests, money collected, payouts, refunds and a monthly ledger statement. It is a view of your receivables, and it answers the daily question of who has paid and who has not.
How do you manage dates?
Bookings appear on a calendar, and you can block dates when you are unavailable or already committed. A photographer covering a multi-day wedding can see the dates at a glance before replying to the next enquiry.
Can your studio team use it?
Yes. You can invite members to the workspace as owners or staff, so a second shooter, an editor or an office manager can work inside the same account.
Where do you start?
Create a vendor account, complete your profile and add your packages. The profile is reviewed before it goes live, and leads begin to arrive on the board once your storefront is approved. For the wider picture of what the vendor workspace offers, see software for wedding vendors.
