What does a wedding venue have to track?
A venue sells dates. Each enquiry is a question about a particular day, a number of guests and one or more functions, and the answer decides whether that day is still available. When enquiries arrive by calls and messages, the same date can be discussed with several couples at once, and the person replying may not know what has been promised.
Mangalyam’s vendor workspace gives each enquiry a place and gives your dates a calendar.
How do couples find your venue?
Your public storefront lives at mangalyam.io/vendors/ followed by your slug. It goes live once Mangalyam reviews and approves your profile; every profile is checked before it appears. Couples see your packages with prices and send an enquiry.
Wedding Venues is one of the twenty business categories on the platform.
How do you list your spaces and prices?
Packages with prices are kept in your Catalog and shown on your storefront. A venue can set out what each package covers, such as a hall for a single function or the full property for a multi-day wedding. Couples see a starting price before they ask.
How do you manage enquiries?
Enquiries arrive on a leads board, with an inbox for the conversation. Whoever on your team picks up the lead sees the earlier messages, so the couple does not repeat their requirements.
How do you protect available dates?
Bookings appear on a calendar, and you can block dates. Block the days a hall is taken, under maintenance or reserved for an event outside weddings. The calendar reflects the dates you block and the bookings you record.
| Task | Where it happens |
|---|---|
| Receive an enquiry | Leads board |
| Reply to the couple | Inbox |
| Show spaces and prices | Packages on the storefront |
| Hold a date | Bookings calendar and blocked dates |
| Agree payment stages | Quote with milestones |
How do quotes work for a venue?
A quote carries milestone payments: a booking advance, interim payments, a final payment and add-ons. For a venue the advance holds the date, and the later stages follow the schedule you set on the quote. Add-ons cover extras beyond the base package.
What does a venue gain from one workspace?
A shared view of availability and enquiries. The person taking a call about a date can open the calendar and the lead, instead of asking the owner, and a couple who enquires a second time is found with their earlier messages rather than starting again.
How do you start?
Create a vendor account, complete your profile and add your packages. For the wider picture of the vendor workspace, see software for wedding vendors.
