Create your free wedding website

What you get

A Mangalyam wedding website is built for the way Indian weddings actually run: several ceremonies, several venues, and guests who are invited to some of them but not all. Everything below is free.

  • A wedding website with your story, events and venues in one place.
  • RSVP for each ceremony: haldi, mehendi, sangeet, wedding and reception.
  • Guest list organised by side and by family, with plus-ones.
  • WhatsApp-friendly invite links and QR codes for each guest.
  • A guest wishes wall where friends and relatives leave messages.
  • Privacy controls: public, link only, or passcode protected.

If you are also planning the money side, the wedding budget planner and the wider wedding planner app sit in the same account, so your guest count and your budget stay connected.

How it works

  1. Sign up at /start. Tell us about your wedding and add your events. Each ceremony gets its own date and venue.
  2. Build the site. Pick a template and edit each section with a live preview, or let an AI assistant draft it for you from a chat.
  3. Add your guests. Enter them by side and family, mark plus-ones, and choose which ceremonies each person is invited to.
  4. Share and collect replies. Send each guest their personal link on WhatsApp. Their answers land in your guest list, per ceremony, with nothing to copy over.

You publish when you are ready. Until then the site is hidden from visitors, and a guest with a personal RSVP link can still reply.

Why it suits an Indian wedding

Many events, one site. A generic wedding site assumes one ceremony. Here the haldi, mehendi, sangeet, wedding and reception each have their own details and their own RSVP. An aunt invited only to the wedding and reception sees exactly that.

Families, not just individuals. Guest lists in India are organised by side and by household. Mangalyam lets you group guests the same way, so you can see at a glance how many people from the bride's side or from one family have replied.

Built around WhatsApp. Most invitations travel through WhatsApp, not email. Every guest gets a link that is easy to paste into a chat, and a QR code you can add to a printed card. Guests do not need to create an account to reply.

Room for blessings. The wishes wall gives elders, cousins and friends a place to write something for you. After the wedding you have all of it in one list instead of scattered across message threads.

Website versus spreadsheet and WhatsApp groups

Spreadsheets and group chats work until about the third event. Then you are asking the same people the same question again, and nobody is sure whether "coming" meant the sangeet or the wedding.

You can still use WhatsApp, and you should. It just becomes the delivery channel instead of the database.

Let an AI assistant do the first draft

If you would rather not start from a blank page, connect Mangalyam to Claude or ChatGPT. Describe your wedding in plain language: who is getting married, which ceremonies you are holding, where, and the tone you want. The assistant builds the site from that chat. Then you open it, change anything you like, and publish.

Privacy and control

A wedding website holds names, venues and dates, so you decide who sees it. You can leave it public, share it by link only, or protect it with a passcode that you set. Publishing is a separate switch: until you publish, visitors see nothing, which gives you time to finish every section without anyone arriving early.

Personal invite links work on their own. A guest you have sent a link to can open it and reply, and the page shows only that guest's name and the ceremonies they are invited to. If a guest loses their link, they can ask for it again using the email or phone number their invitation went to.

What to put on the site

Start with the basics your guests keep asking about: the date and venue for each ceremony, the order of events, and a short note about how you met. Add anything that spares you a phone call, such as dress notes for the sangeet or directions for out-of-town relatives. Turn on the guest-count question if you need to plan for plus-ones, and the meal preference question if your caterer needs it.

Start your site

Planning an Indian wedding is already a lot. Your website should take work off your plate, not add to it. Create your free wedding website at /start, add your ceremonies, and send the first invite link on WhatsApp today. If you are looking for photographers, caterers or decorators, you can browse the wedding vendors directory and request quotes from the same account. Mangalyam is free for couples, always.

Questions couples ask

Is the wedding website really free?
Yes. Mangalyam is free for couples, always. We earn from vendors who list on the platform, not from you or your guests.
Can guests RSVP to some ceremonies and not others?
Yes. Each guest replies per ceremony, so someone can say yes to the sangeet and wedding and no to the haldi. Their answers update your guest list automatically.
How do I share the site on WhatsApp?
Copy your site link or a guest's personal invite link and paste it into WhatsApp. You can also print a QR code for the physical invitation.
Can I keep the website private?
You choose who can open it: public, link only, or protected with a passcode you set. An unpublished site stays hidden until you publish.
Can AI build my site for me?
Yes. Connect Mangalyam to Claude or ChatGPT and describe your wedding in a chat. The assistant can build the site from that conversation, and you can edit it afterwards.
What happens to the wishes guests leave?
They appear on your guest wishes wall, so you can read every message in one place after the celebrations.
