Fee Schedule & Payment Terms

This page is the payments annex to the Terms of Service. It explains platform fees by payment mode, settlement/hold timing, and EMI subvention terms. It is governed by the same acceptance and versioning as the Terms of Service.

1) Platform fees by payment mode

UPI and netbanking: ₹0 platform fee. These modes are processed at cost — Mangalyam does not add a platform fee on top of UPI or netbanking payments.

Card payments (credit/debit) — NOT YET ACTIVE. There is no card convenience fee today: it is not charged on any transaction today. The card rail is planned and gated on counsel sign-off on convenience-fee structuring and on fraud controls going live. The paragraph below describes the fee that will apply only once the card rail is switched on — it is not a charge you incur now.

When the card rail goes live, the planned convenience fee will be approximately 2–2.5% all-in — covering the card network’s merchant discount rate (approximately 1.8–2.5%), applicable GST on that MDR, and a thin platform margin. It will be charged to the paying couple only; vendors are never charged a card processing fee by the platform.

Off-platform recorded payments (cash or direct bank transfer, recorded into the ledger for completeness): ₹0 platform fee, free forever.

2) Settlement and payout-hold timing

Payments are held for a fixed number of days after the couple pays before a vendor payout becomes eligible, based on milestone type: booking-advance milestones are held 1 day, interim milestones 3 days, and final-payment milestones 7 days. These are the platform’s current operating hold windows.

These hold windows apply under the platform’s interim payment-holding mode. Once Razorpay Route split-settlement is active for a vendor, funds split directly at transaction time under Route’s rules and the platform does not hold that vendor’s funds.

The platform never structures fund custody as escrow; it schedules, routes, records, and splits payments without itself holding buyer funds against future delivery beyond the stated hold windows.

3) EMI and vendor subvention terms

Standard-rate EMI (interest paid by the couple to the issuing bank) is always available on card-mode payments, subject to the couple’s card issuer offering EMI conversion.

No-cost EMI is vendor-subvented and opt-in per quote: a vendor can enable an "EMI-enabled" toggle on a specific quote to absorb the EMI interest cost as an upfront discount, so the couple sees a no-extra-cost instalment plan. The vendor sees the exact subvention cost before enabling it.

4) Refunds, cancellations, and disputes

Refund eligibility, cancellation windows, and how a payout hold is affected by a refund are governed by the public Refund & Cancellation Policy at /refund-policy, not by this page. Any refund or fee dispute must reference the relevant quote, booking, and milestone IDs.

5) Changes to this fee schedule

This fee schedule is part of the Terms of Service payments annex. A material change to the fee structure is published here and versioned together with the Terms of Service. When the Terms version changes, users whose acceptance is on an older version are re-prompted to accept the current version before continuing to use payment features — acceptance is never carried forward silently.
