Terms of Service

These terms define how Mangalyam works for couples planning a wedding, and for the vendors and planning agencies who run their business on the platform.

Effective: 2026-05-28·Last updated: 2026-05-28·Version: v1.0

1) Scope and role model

Mangalyam provides planning, coordination, and transaction orchestration infrastructure for wedding operations. Couples and families use the platform to discover, evaluate, and book third-party service providers. Vendors and agencies use dedicated operational workspaces.

Mangalyam is a software and operations layer. Service delivery remains the responsibility of the listed service provider for each booking unless explicitly marked otherwise in writing.

2) Account and workspace responsibilities

You must maintain accurate profile data, protect login credentials, and avoid unauthorized account sharing. Team access should follow role-based limits (owner, staff, assistant, coordinator, and admin where applicable).

Platform actions that create legal or financial impact (for example: approvals, payouts, offboarding, KYC submissions) may be restricted to privileged roles and are auditable.

3) Payment and payee transparency

Before confirming payment, users must review quote details, cancellation terms, milestone references, and vendor identity. The service provider/payee is shown in quote and milestone context.

Gateway processing, settlement state transitions, and reconciliation controls follow configured payment rails. Where settlement is delayed by compliance or operational hold policies, the platform surfaces hold state and next steps.

3a) Payments annex: fees, settlement timing, and EMI terms

The full, published fee schedule — platform fees by payment mode (UPI/netbanking, card, off-platform recorded), settlement and payout-hold timing, and EMI/subvention terms — is maintained at /fees and forms part of these Terms.

When the fee schedule changes materially, this Terms of Service version changes with it. Users whose acceptance is on an older version are re-prompted to accept the current version before continuing to use payment features; acceptance is never carried forward silently across a version change.

4) Refunds, cancellations, and disputes

Refund and cancellation handling follows the public Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable vendor terms shown at quote or booking stage. In case of policy conflicts, the stricter requirement applies until support review is completed.

Dispute workflows require reference evidence (quote, booking, milestone, and communication proof). Mangalyam may pause related high-impact actions while an integrity review is active.

5) Content, trust, and enforcement

Users must only upload lawful content and must not misrepresent identity, service scope, licensing, or payout ownership. Fraud, policy abuse, or unsafe behavior can trigger delisting, suspension, or offboarding.

We reserve the right to enforce platform safety controls, including temporary action blocks, pending documentation requests, and recovery workflows.
