Connect your AI assistant

Mangalyam speaks MCP, the Model Context Protocol. Connect an AI assistant and ask it to manage your guest list and RSVPs, keep your budget and checklist up to date, or build your wedding website. It works as you, through your Mangalyam sign-in.

Your endpoint

It is secured with your Mangalyam sign-in — the assistant can only ever see and do what your own account can.

Connect Claude

1. Open claude.ai (or the Claude desktop or mobile app) and go to Settings → Connectors.
2. If Mangalyam is listed in Claude's connector directory, add it from there. Otherwise choose Add custom connector and paste the endpoint above.
3. Sign in with your Mangalyam account when Claude opens the connection window.
4. On the Mangalyam consent screen, turn on the write switches you want, such as changes to your wedding plan or your CRM, then choose Allow read & write. With every switch off, your assistant can read but not change anything.

Exact menu names shift as Claude's app updates — look for "Connectors" or "Custom connector".

Connect ChatGPT

1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors (you may need developer or MCP features enabled on your plan).
2. Add a connector using the endpoint above.
3. Sign in with your Mangalyam account, turn on the write switches you want, and approve the access.

What your assistant can do

Your assistant only gets the tools that fit your account:

For a couple, that means:

• Guests. Add, edit and remove guests, and set how many people are invited to each event. 0 removes the invitation; if the guest already replied, your assistant asks you first.
• RSVPs. Record replies you got by phone or in person. Guests can still reply themselves from their own link.
• Budget and checklist. Log expenses and payments, set your total budget, and add, finish or remove tasks. Payments are records only; no money moves.
• Your wedding website. Your assistant drafts it and you publish it. See Build your site with an AI agent.

For a vendor, that means:

• Leads. See your leads and pipeline, add leads, move them between stages, log calls, WhatsApp chats and notes, and add follow-up tasks. Logging a call never sends anything.
• Profile and business page. Keep your public profile up to date and draft your business page. Profile changes show on your public page straight away. A page draft goes live only when you press Approve & Publish.
• Page analytics. See your page's views, enquiries and referrers.

An agency gets the same lead and analytics tools, plus:

• Vendor bench. Add the vendors you work with, move them between stages, and archive or restore them.
• Showcase page. Update your agency profile and draft your showcase page.

Your assistant never messages your guests or leads, never moves money, and can't publish a page. Those steps stay with you.

Try asking

• "How many people are coming to each of our events?"
• "Add my cousin Priya Nair to the sangeet and the wedding, 2 people each."
• "We paid the caterer a ₹50,000 advance by UPI today. Log it and show what's left in our budget."
• "Show my newest leads and log that I called the Sharma family."
• "Add Lotus Decor to our vendor bench."

Troubleshooting

• Your assistant says it can't make changes. You connected read-only. Disconnect (see below), connect again and turn on the write switches.
• The sign-in window shows an error or closes. Sign in at mangalyam.io in the same browser first, then connect again.
• Your assistant can't find your wedding or business. It sees only what your signed-in account can see. Check that you signed in with the account that belongs to that wedding, vendor team or agency.
• You have more than one wedding. Name the wedding in your request, for example "for Ananya and Rohan's wedding".
• Still stuck? Email support@mangalyam.io with what you asked and what happened.

Disconnect anytime

Go to Settings → Security → Connected AI apps to see every assistant you've connected and revoke any of them. Revoking cuts off access immediately.
